Planning an ice skating trip in Louisiana
Most rinks split their ice between public skating, hockey, figure skating and lessons, so a rink can be open all day with only a few hours of public skate. Of the 2 rinks we list in Louisiana, 2 publish opening hours on Google and 2 list Sunday hours. Use those as a starting point, then check the rink's own session calendar.
None of the rinks we list in Louisiana describe themselves as outdoor or seasonal, so plan on indoor ice. Indoor rinks stay cold, so bring layers even in summer. Most public rinks rent skates, but call ahead if you need a particular size.
Bring gloves, wear warm layers you can move in, and arrive a little early on weekends, when public sessions fill fastest. New to the ice? Read how to ice skate for the first time before you go.
